How Secure is GoodyHoo?
At GoodyHoo your security is paramount; we need to make sure your hard earned cash is as safe as an owls nest!
SSL Certificates and PCI Compliance
Most online shoppers are very careful and need to know that their information is safe; we use a premium SSL certificate to ensure the encryption of your sensitive data like credit & debit card numbers and personal information.
An SSL Certificate doesn't just protect our site; it shows you the customer that our site is secure. When you reach a page that's protected by an SSL, the address bar will display a padlock icon and the beginning of the URL changes from http:// to https://. With our Extended Validation Certificate, it's even more obvious — the browser bar turns green as a visual indicator that the site is secure.
PCI compliance requires adequate encryption of credit card holder information while being transmitted - our SSL Supports strong SHA-2 & 2048-bit encryption. This will shield you by making sure that no one can intercept and misuse your credit card information.
In addition to the actual protection, an SSL Certificate gives our customers peace of mind. That's because our business must be verified as legitimate before you can even be issued an SSL Certificate. When a site is secured with an SSL Certificate, customers know that we are who we say we are so they're more comfortable providing their personal information online.
SagePay Security Policy
All transaction information passed between GoodyHoo.com and Sage Pay’s systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to Sage Pay’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Once on Sagepay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data we hold is extremely secure and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
Sage Pay’s systems are scanned quarterly by Trustwave which are an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for the payment card brands.
Sage pay is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. We are also active members of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.
